Europe is the World´s biggest glass
producer. Sand is the most important
raw material for glass making, being
the principal source of Silicon dioxide.
However, most deposits are not of sufficient
purity for glass making. End users of high-quality sand
face increasing costs resulting from shortages and long
distance from suppliers, causing high transportation costs.
Nearby available low-iron sands (less than 0.05% by
weight Fe2O3), particle size from 0.1 to 0.5 mm, residual
moisture content of less than 5% water.
Local supplier of high quality silica sand.
